Update September 2025 : I am no longer accepting custom orders with the exception of baby quilts and small throw size quilts. I will not make t-shirt or memory quilts.

My favourite type of quilt to make is a “scrappy quilt”. You tell me what colours to include and I would have the freedom to draw from my assorted collection and mix them up in a pleasing way. This requires some trust on your part. Follow along on my social media to see what my quilts look like. I will help you choose a suitable pattern. An in person consultation is ideal but I have successfully made several quilts using emails and photos between myself and the customer.

I only use new quilting fabrics and no synthetics (Minky, Cuddle etc. )

Pricing is dependent on the fabric you choose, degree of difficulty and the size of the quilt but roughly 16 cents per square inch will give you a starting point. I am not required to charge sales tax as I am a very small business. I have all custom quilts professionally long arm quilted by either Quilting Biker or Spooled Rotten Quilts which is included in the estimate. Both long arm quilters do impeccable work and offer computerized edge to edge quilting with many design options.

Timeline: Expect about 3 months from start to finish. This also depends on life circumstances and how quickly you make decisions.

Baby quilts start at $300 for an average crib size of 40 x 50. I require a nonrefundable deposit of 50% of the quote. You might notice that my ready to ship baby/toddler quilts (not custom) are very economical in comparison.

I like to use Quilters Dream 100% cotton batting for larger quilts but have moved to an 80% cotton 20% poly batting for kids quilts. This gives a beautiful weight and drape to the quilt. This is something we could discuss if you have another preference.
