Scrappy throw quilt suitable for a toddler up to 4’ tall. Also suitable as an adult lap quit perhaps for a senior. Flannel backing in combination with the batting gives this quilt some weight. Also the open quilting makes it extra soft and cozy. This will only improve with use and laundering.

Quilting: Free motion crosshatch - fairly open for softness.

A note about free motion quilting. This is achieved using a sewing machine with no feed dogs. Fabric is moved under the needle to “doodle” a design. Speed and direction is controlled entirely by hand movements.

Materials: All new 100% cotton quilting fabrics. Quality 100% cotton batting which is natural, breathable, soft and adds a lovely cosiness to the quilt. Double fold binding is machine stitched to the quilt. Fabrics have not been pre-washed (except flannel) so first washing will produce a delightfully wrinkly result and 3-5% shrinkage will occur.
