Awoo as an adorable child’s quilt. Lots of tiny piecing give the detail of the wolf and the stars in the night sky. I discovered a Cdn pattern maker Art East Quilt Co in beautiful Cape Breton Island and this is the first pattern I have tried. It did not disappoint. The pattern has been accented by a quilting design of stars and double stars just like the accent stars on the quilt. The quilting gives beautiful texture to the background. The batting is a light 100% cotton so not a heavy quilt.

Sized for a child up to 4 ft tall - a great gift for a new baby that will grow with them.

I used a pretty textured soft turquoise print for the background and a pieced backing with a check and an ombre splatter inset.

If you plan to use this quilt on a bed please measure your bed and take note of the dimensions of the quilt.

Materials: All new 100% cotton quilting fabrics. Quality 100% cotton batting which is natural, breathable, soft and adds a lovely cosiness to the quilt. Double fold binding is machine stitched to the quilt. Fabrics have not been pre-washed so first washing will produce a delightfully wrinkly result and 3-5% shrinkage will occur.
