Courthouse Steps

This throw/ picnic size quilt is made entirely of scraps. My hope is to offer supporters a more affordable quilt. I like to stick with a restricted colour palette for my scrap quilts but within that colour grouping anything goes for patterns/themes. It is an opportunity to get a ‘one of a kind’ piece of Much Love quilting history while supporting charities. You will find traditional prints mixed with more whimsical prints. For these “courthouse” blocks one side is blues and aquas and the other side is off white or very light prints. I also did a scrappy patchwork backing on this quilt.

Free motion quilted by me in a loops and meander design. The quilt is very soft and snuggly.

Materials: All new 100% cotton quilting fabrics. Quality 100% cotton batting which is natural, breathable, soft and adds a lovely cosiness to the quilt. Double fold binding is machine stitched to the quilt. Fabrics have not been pre-washed so first washing will produce a delightfully wrinkly result and 3-5% shrinkage will occur.
