Woven

This is the 2nd time I have made this pattern. I love how the blocks weave together the printed fabrics. I chose a contemporary accent to compliment these more traditional prints. I love the plum/berry colour of the accent. It has a bit of gold sparkle to it which I have picked up in the thread colour.

I pieced the backing with leftover blocks. This is always time consuming but makes for an interesting back and an alternative way to use the quilt.

Accent Fabric: Ruby Star Society Speckled in Wine Time. Small squares are Bella Zen Grey

Backing: Pieced with 2 grey backings and the leftover woven blocks

If you plan to use this quilt on a bed please measure your bed and take note of the dimensions of the quilt. It can be folded at the foot of a larger bed for napping or for colder nights.

Materials: All new 100% cotton quilting fabrics. Quality 100% cotton batting which is natural, breathable, soft and adds a lovely cosiness to the quilt. Double fold binding is machine stitched to the quilt. Fabrics have not been pre-washed so first washing will produce a delightfully wrinkly result and 3-5% shrinkage will occur.
