Behind Bars

Saturated colours in the bars are a fabric line featuring geometric prints and botanicals. Fabric line was inspired by Australian wildflowers.

I named it Behind Bars for two reasons: first the charcoal background seems to recede into the background and 2nd I feel many people in power really should be behind bars.

Free Motion Quilting: giant spiral covers whole quilt

A note about free motion quilting. This is achieved using a sewing machine with no feed dogs. Fabric is moved under the needle to “doodle” a design. Speed and direction is controlled entirely by hand movements.

If you plan to use this quilt on a bed please measure your bed and take note of the dimensions of the quilt. It can be folded at the foot of a larger bed for napping or for colder nights.

Materials: All new 100% cotton quilting fabrics. Quality 80% cotton 20% poly batting which is breathable, soft and adds a lovely cosiness to the quilt. Double fold binding is machine stitched to the quilt. Fabrics have not been pre-washed so first washing will produce a delightfully wrinkly result and 3-5% shrinkage will occur.
